BACS and the City of Oakland are partnering together to help the dozens of Oaklanders displaced from the devastating fire that occurred on Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Day.
BACS will be the central provider to support our affected neighbors with services and financial support, as well as helping with critical linkage to other supportive services outlined below.
BACS’ CEO, Jamie Almanza, says: “This is a critically needed intervention for all the families affected by this devastating crisis. For more than 73 years, BACS has stepped in during moments like these with strength, conviction, and expertise, and we will walk alongside every single person and family until they are safely rehoused and can begin to heal from this trauma.”
