BACS is bringing our substantial experience and expertise to ensure continuity of a critical community program.
We are pleased to announce that Sutter Health has chosen BACS to lead Thunder Road into future success.
Thunder Road provides substance use treatment and intensive residential services to youth and their families, affecting more than 7,000 adolescents since 1987. Thunder Road, located in Oakland, makes sure nobody falls through the cracks, through intensive inpatient and outpatient services that are proven to succeed.
Our BACS team is delighted to bring Thunder Road into the fold of our programs, to keep this crucial Bay Area program in operation.
Jamie Almanza, Executive Director of BACS said, “BACS is honored to step in to the continuation of Thunder Road, a place of safety, health-promotion, and recovery for youth who need it. Alameda County has been tremendous in their support to ensure Thunder Road stays in the community and thrives. Sutter’s partnership with BACS and gift will create continued sustainability for Thunder Road and our constituencies.”
“Ensuring the continuity of program expertise in substance abuse treatment will strengthen our ability to provide transformative behavioral health services,” said Manuel J. Jimenez, Jr., MFT, Director of Behavioral Health Care Services for Alameda County.
Every individual BACS serves at Thunder Road will receive whatever they need to recover from substance use and behavioral health issues, so that they can integrate into our community and realize their potential.
