For Mental Health Support

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill
NAMI provides a breadth of information on mental disorders, therapies, medications, research, conferences, support groups, and the NAMI Help Line.

National Institute on Mental Health
NIMH is the largest scientific organization in the world dedicated to research focused on the understanding, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders and the promotion of mental health. Look here for scientific articles and studies.

Alameda County Behavioral Health Care ACCESS
Information on short-term mental health services. ACCESS serves as the screening point for all Alameda County mental health and substance abuse services. Call 1-800-491-9099 for more information.

California Association of Social Rehabilitation Agencies
CASRA is an association of private nonprofit agencies providing rehabilitation and support for clients of the public mental health system.

Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education
Provides Mental Health Professional Workforce Development programs.

Offers a coordinated service delivery system that protects, supports, and advocates for an aging population, particularly those with disabilities.
