In 2007, BACS initiated its Culinary Social Enterprise Kitchen. Our goal is to create a sustainable nutrition program based on organic, local food, a breadth of culinary techniques and styles, reduced waste, and recycling. BACS is implementing an institutional farm-to-table model that will provide a steady revenue stream for us and a reliable source of high-quality food for our clients. Our new program represents an innovative way to strengthen our community while building a sound financial model for our future. Our kitchen will expand the nutritional services we provide and create jobs, while providing fresh, appetizing, healthy meals at a reasonable cost for senior centers, community groups, and other supportive agencies. Click here to learn about our farm-to-table program. We strive to be innovators in healthy, sustainable, low-cost nutrition programs. We look forward to having you join us in this enterprise. For more information, see our Sample Menus and our Fee-for-Service Meals Contracts, or contact the Culinary Social Enterprise Program.
